​​Closing Bell: TASI closes in green with a trading turnover of $2.5bn

Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index concluded its Wednesday trading at 12,561.90 points, marking an increase of 91.75 points or 0.74 percent. 

The MSCI Tadawul 30 Index also advanced 15.40 points to close at 1,600.89 points, recording a 0.97 percent jump. 

The parallel market Nomu closed the day at 26,573.29 points, surging 138.26 points or 0.52 percent.

TASI reported a trading volume of SR9.20 billion ($2.455 billion), with 166 stocks gaining and 52 losing steam.  

The best-performing stock was Wataniya Insurance Co., whose share price surged 10 percent to SR24.86.  

The second top performer was Saudi Ground Services Co., whose share price soared by 9.98 percent to SR49.6.   

Other top gainers included Al-Rajhi Company for Cooperative Insurance and Walaa Cooperative Insurance Co. as their share prices increased by 9.95 percent and 9.92 percent to SR9.50 and SR2.27, respectively.

The worst performer was Saudi Automotive Services Co., whose share price dropped by 5.67 percent to SR89.80.   

Shares price of Saudi Steel Pipe Co. also dipped by 5.49 percent to reach SR58.50.

On Nomu, Saudi Parts Center Co. was the top gainer with its share price soaring by 9.38 percent to SR70.   

Naseej for Technology Co. was the major loser on the parallel market, as the company’s share price slipped by 6.67 percent to SR70.  

On the announcement front, Saudi exchange revealed that Quara Finance Co. will be listed on Nomu on March 7.

Additionally, Al Rajhi Bank announced its $1 billion worth of sustainable sukuk offering under its international sukuk issuance program.

According to a statement by the bank on Tadawul, the sukuk will be settled on March 12. The total number of sukuk will be 5,000, with a $200,000 value for each bond.

According to a statement on Tadawul, these bonds’ final yield came in at 5.047 present per annum with five years maturity.

“The sustainable sukuk will be listed on the London Stock Exchange’s International Securities Market,” the bank stated.

Furthermore, Quencia Capital Co. has been granted a license by the Capital Market Authority to engage in managing investments within the securities business.
