KAC records high rates of operational activities

Kuwait: Kuwait Airways Company (KAC) on Saturday announced the increase in the percentage of its operational activities in the movement of aircraft and passengers during the months of November and December 2023, January and February 2024. The company explained in a press release that aircraft traffic increased by 7 percent, while passenger traffic increased by 10 percent during last November compared to the same period in 2022, indicating that aircraft traffic increased last December by 12 percent, while passenger traffic increased by 9 percent compared to the same month in 2022.

During the past month of January, operational activities witnessed an increase of 25 percent in aircraft traffic and 21 percent in passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2023. Last February also saw increases in aircraft and passenger traffic by 23 percent and 13 percent, respectively, compared to the same period in 2023. KAC has followed a new policy of increasing direct operations on the lines that are experiencing significant growth by passengers, in addition to operating its flights to new airports and choosing economically viable destinations in the interest of the Blue Bird.

The current results are the best evidence of reaching “unprecedented and distinguished” levels of positive results and growing significantly and accelerating, which contributed significantly to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development policy set by the company recently, confirming its commitment to take a steady step towards improving the services provided to customers.

KAC pointed to its keenness to consolidate relations and enhance joint cooperation with the concerned authorities, foremost of which is the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, as this cooperation contributed to the development of the operational system and the convergence of views in reaching broader horizons of prosperity and progress for the benefit of all parties and Kuwait.

The company has recently announced a plan to launch new destinations for the coming summer season, including those connected to the cities of the Turkish Republic, such as Antalya, Trabzon, and Bodrum, in addition to the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Spanish Malaga, French Nice, and Sarajevo. Kuwait has increased the number of its flights to many destinations, such as London, Amsterdam, Munich, Vienna, and Geneva, to accommodate the growing demand for these European destinations and some other destinations in the summer, such as Dubai, Riyadh, and Manchester.
