Mahd Academy reveals strategy, future plans and Sports Innovation Center

Mahd Sports announced on Saturday the establishment of the Sports Innovations and Research Center, which will be the most important specialized center for sports studies in the world.

Mahd also announced sitting up Formation Centers, football fields, outdoor sports fields, a main building, gymnasiums that support various sports, swimming halls, and a hotel for the backroom staff, players and guests of Mahd Academy during training Camps and tournaments to make the academy as the largest integrated sports facility in Saudi Arabia.

This came in the conference in which it revealed its strategy, future plans and the most prominent stages of establishment, with the participation of Chief Executive Officer, Abdullah Hammad, and a number of officials and coaches in Mahd Sports.

Abdullah Hammad, said: “We were honored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, and the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman, with the issuance of Cabinet Resolution No. 654 dated on 6/15/2021.”

“This decision will be a historic turning point in establishing Mahd Sports, which is concerned with exploring and developing talents, and exporting knowledge and technical approaches, to score achievements for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Mahd CEO also reviewed the most important stages that the Academy has gone through in its first year since its establishment, passing through the stages of talent scouting at a time when the world is witnessing great chaos due to the ongoing pandemic.

“The conditions and difficulties that the Academy faced were nothing but a source of strength and motivation for all its employees to Laying the foundation stone to this project and continuing the progress by receiving more than 10,000 talents who joined the auditions under the supervision of the technical Mahd crews,” he added.

Worth mentioning, Mahd signed several global partnerships, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, with the European Football Association "UEFA", the French Football Federation, the French Handball Federation and the The National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance "INSEP”. It aims to raise the technical value of the Academy, exchange experiences and enable the Academy to prepare talents professionally.

Also, international coaches joined Mahd such as José Mourinho and Roberto Mancini as Ambassadors of Mahd Academy to develop national competencies.
